Two Astrophysicists Debate Free Will

Does free will exist? Neil deGrasse Tyson and Chuck Nice sit down with astrophysicist Charles Liu sit down to discuss the existence of free will and whether physics allows for choice in our lives.

We explore cause and effect: how does uncertainty and chaos in the universe factor into free will? How important is the illusion of free will to society? What does a society that acknowledges a lack of free will look like?

Note for the fans who caught it: the visual of the “Quarterback” evading the sack was actually of Running Back Christian McCaffrey—we’ll stick to the physics field 😉.

Serpentine

As described by curator: "When SLT tasked me with designing a cover for the theme of 'faith,' I was inspired by the butterfly—a timeless symbol of transformation and renewal. Just as a butterfly emerges from its cocoon, radiant and powerful, this program celebrates personal growth and evolution.

One notable inspiration was Loie Fuller, a pioneering American dancer known for her innovative choreography and use of silk costumes. Her performances, reminiscent of a butterfly's delicate and graceful flight, symbolized beauty and transformation.

This curated video program features a diverse range of individuals, as they embark on journeys of learning and self-discovery. From Jannah’s secret endeavor to learn Urdu to better connect with her mother, to Vereena’s first motorcycle ride with her father, each story captures moments of growth and exploration.

With this program, we aim to provide viewers with a sense of freedom and inspiration, encouraging them to envision and pursue their own transformative journeys." - Marlo

Believe In Good Faith

AUGUST

Believe in Good Faith. Goodness exists within all of us, and we embrace this theme as we enter August.

This 8th month of the Western calendar brings us selections from Gaga Ranks, explorations of feminist-inspired art by Lenka Roosendaal, and curated pieces by ycdit focused on pop culture and a growing interest in the film landscape.

To complete the lineup, we have contributions from Marlo777, known for her mystery and thoughtfulness, promising a meaningful and fulfilling selection. We look forward to the diverse offerings from all our programmers this month.

INNANNETS

INNANNETS: "WE ALL EXIST ONLINE SOMEWHERE"

Growing up in the 90s in Ghana with limited access to the internet at home, I would often be dropped off at internet cafes, where I could explore the vast expanse of the World Wide Web. From an early age, I developed a love for the internet and computers. As time passed and I had the chance to travel and experience the world, my access to the internet expanded as well.

The internet became my teacher, guiding me on how to arrange and make beats on FL Studio. It educated me on pop culture, law, higher education, love, news, and history—all invaluable knowledge for a kid from Ghana.

Especially through social media, the internet created an online world, complete with its pressures. It exposed me to so many things that I found myself wanting to be everything. But as a wise man once said, "Don't be greedy; you gotta take some and leave some." That's what the internet is—you have to take what you need and leave the rest for the world wide goblins.

Yep... These selections are things I’ve come across while surfing the World Wide Web, driven by interest and chance as a filmmaker, photographer, and producer.

I hope you enjoy these selections and find something meaningful in them.......

IN THE MIDDLE

SEPTEMBER

This month's program, though surprisingly late, features an incredible lineup of people and begins in the middle of the month.

We are joined by brilliant minds and scholars from various disciplines, including psychology, history, finance, film, and sound. As we present this month's selections and programs, we encourage our viewers to explore the intention behind each choice, as they are carefully curated to enhance rather than overwhelm.
